Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Enterprise Forum Organizing Committee of Bulgaria in association with CEED Bulgaria and the University of National and World Economy invite you to attend the:
MITEF Sustainability Conference
Friday, May 23rd, 2008, 9:00 – 17:00 p.m.
Sustainability may well be the theme of the 21st century, and an issue that every organization – in fact, every country – can ignore at its peril. Newspaper headlines, magazine articles, and international television present various perspectives on sustainability: global warming, food crises, melting glaciers, soaring prices of nonrenewable fuels, and recession in the world’s largest economy that reverberates with stock exchanges all over the world.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Enterprise Forum in Bulgaria, the CEED, and the Center for Sustainability at University of National and World Economy (UNWE) are sponsoring a full-day seminar on sustainability, focusing on the Bulgarian situation. Leading activists and academic experts on the topic of sustainability, from both the economic and environmental perspectives will lead this day, offering background and specific recommendations for Bulgarian businesses.
Through dialogue amongst the panelists, attendees will hear real-world case studies, learn principles and best steps to follow, and how different sectors necessitate different approaches.
