Marketing is one of the most important, but least understood aspects of business. Some people say marketing is an art rather than a science because the success of marketing campaigns is often difficult to gauge. In some respects this is true, but you can minimize the "voodoo" and create an effective marketing plan that will have customers begging for your product.
Join the MIT Enterprise Forum for a workshop on how to design an effective marketing strategy. This workshop will walk you through the steps required to find the most profitable customers and how to develop the best marketing campaign to reach those customers. We'll see how to get measurable results from your marketing campaigns so you know what is and isn't working. You'll see why the marketer needs to be an expert on strategy, sociology, economics and psychology. The workshop will also include a panel of local experts who will bring their insight and experience into the process.
